Cryogenic Insulation

Cryogenic insulation is a specialised application due to the extremes of temperature that can be found in the systems used. The successful control of condensation and ice formation is dependent on the correct application and vapour sealing of the insulation especially flanged joints, valves and all fittings.

The correct choice of insulation and a complete vapour barrier is essential to the successful operation of the system and Modern Insulation Ltd have many years experience of applying a full range of insulation to name a few Phenolic Foam pipe sectional or radius/bevelled lags for tanks vessels etc. Foam Glass, or Nitrile Rubber products.

The fabrication and application of sheet metal cladding to cryogenic pipe installations and equipment need to be undertaken with special care in order to avoid the puncturing of the vapour barrier. Our in-house sheet metal fabrication facility is staffed by tradesmen who have years of experience of the fabricating and fastening of the cladding system to avoid such occurrences.
